Through tourism a nation can develop economically, politically and socially:-

Economic - tourists are charged fees when they visit places, and also they spend foreign money for their upkeep

Political:  Tourists who visit a country become ambassadors  of that country when they go back.  As a result other people will also know about it.  There is also stability in a country when the economy is good.  
Social:  Interaction between tourists and local people.  They learn new things and ways of living/doing things.</description>
